Withdrawing ETH from Crypto.com

The Decentralized world has grown magnitudes higher in 2021. This resulted in many people moving their money from exchanges to decentralized finance ecosystems. Let us take a look at how we can withdraw our money from Crypto.com to our Metamask wallet.

First, we will open up our Crypto.com mobile app. When you reach your wallet, click on the “transfer” button to start.

When you reach here, click on the “withdraw” button.

Since we are withdrawing ETH, click on the crypto button here.

We will be withdrawing it to our MetaMask wallet, so click on the “external wallet” option.

After you reach here, you will see all of the whitelisted addresses. These are the addresses you have added to your crypto.com account before. If your Metamask is already here, you can skip the next stages to the end of the Metamask of our article. If you haven’t, then you can keep on reading to learn how to add it.

To add metamask wallet to our whitelist addresses list, click on the + button at the top right corner.

This will pop up two options. Here we will pick the wallet address option to continue.

After the selection, we will come to the coin selection part. This is the last part before the address column comes up. Pick ETH in order to withdraw ETH from crypto.com. Since we are sending in ERC20 format (for Metamask) you can send other coins that have (ERC20) as well, so make sure you pick the right one. In order to continue, we need our Metamask address, so before we continue with crypto.com, let us get the deposit address from Metamask first.

Finding your MetaMask wallet address

If you haven’t downloaded Metamask yet, the first step is to go to chrome extensions and download metamask.

If you do not have an account, metamask will ask you to start a new one. Here we will enter a password for your account. Do not forget your password and write it down somewhere safe.

The most crucial part of setting up a Metamask account is the phrases. There will be 12 words written back to back, irrelevant random words that do not make sense when read aloud. You have to save them somewhere very safe because if you forget your password then these 12 words are your only hope.

After you start your account, you just need to get your deposit address. If you had an account before, this is the stage you will use. You can see your wallet address in the red highlighted area. Besides your wallet address, you will see an icon, click on it to copy your wallet address.

Using our MetaMask address to send from Crypto.com

After you got your address, it is time to get back to Crypto.com. Paste the ETH address you have taken from Metamask into the “ETH Address” column here. You will also need to name it anything you want as well, something like “metamask” to remind you what it is could be handy.

After your wallet address is entered and named, you will confirm it and go back to the whitelisted address section. This time around you will see your ERC20 ETH address from metamask will be shown there. Click on it to continue.

It will be directing you to enter an amount. Enter how much ETH you want to send to your Metamask account and click the “Withdraw” button.

When everything else is done, the confirmation page is the last step you need to handle. Double-check every detail and when you are ready click the “confirm” button.

Whenever you are done, you will get a graphic like this. It means your task is done and all you need to do is wait for your coins to arrive. Metamask has an automatic notifier, so whenever your ETH reaches your wallet, you will be notified of it.

Remember, each withdrawal will need to pass a security check by crypto.com, so it will not be automatic but won’t be too long either. Most transactions will be sent within the first two hours.

If you are not certain about the process or feel like something went wrong, or it took longer than a few hours, then you can always contact support and ask what is wrong with your transaction. After it leaves crypto.com, you do not have to do anything for it to reach metamask and it will be automatically credited.
