What is Binance Gift Card?

A gift card (in the crypto world) is an online card with a certain amount of some cryptocurrency that is redeemed directly to the cryptocurrency wallet. Sounds pretty exciting, doesn’t it? Well, today we will take a close look at one of the most recent gift cards that appeared on the market.

Binance is widely considered one of the leading crypto platforms. When you hear the word “Binance ”, most people think of cryptocurrency exchange, however, Binance has an entire crypto-related ecosystem. Binance Gift card is one of the latest projects established by the Binance team.

In this article, I am going to take a look at the project and see if I can find some useful information about the card that might be useful for all crypto holders.

Binance gift card is a tool that allows you to send a crypto gift card to your friends. You can send the card via social media, email, or SMS. The card can have a personalized card theme, coins, messages, and card amounts. Once you send the card, and the receiver redeems the gift card code, the crypto will be visible on their Binance cryptocurrency wallet.

Something worth noting: you need to update the Binance app to the latest version if you would like to create, send, and redeem gift cards.

At this point, it is good to note that all opinions and suggestions written in this article are not considered financial advice.

Let me try to answer some vital questions regarding the card. Those answers should be able to help us to better understand how the card works, and how it can be used. So, let’s go!

How do I send a Gift Card?

As per Binance’s website, the process of sending the card is actually quite simple. Let me break it down into a few simple steps:

  • Open the gift card page. Click on the “send” button
  • Select the gift card  (if you have more than one, click on one on the list) and then again tap on the “send” button
  • A new popup will appear on which you can choose to send it via email, or via text message
    • If you send it via text, you need to tap on the “copy” button in order to copy the details and send it to the recipient
    • If you send it via email, you will need to enter the recipient’s email address, your name, and a message (optional). Please note that you can send the card to any email address, not only to Binance users
  • Click “send” and that is pretty much it. You have successfully sent the card.

How do I add or redeem a Gift Card?

When your friend (or receiver) receives the card, they have two options – redeem the card, or add it to their account, and redeem it later.

If you would have bet on the right coins this year you could easily have 10xed your capital…

You could even have made as much as 100x which means you could have turned $100 into as much as 10k.
Experts believe this will happen again in 2022, the only question is which coin do you bet on?

Here are a few simple steps on how to add, or redeem the gift card:

  • Open the gift card page, and click the “receive” button
  • You will see “add card” and “redeem card” buttons
  • If you choose to add the card, you will become the owner of the card. My suggestion is to add the card as soon as you receive it
  • If you choose to redeem the card immediately, you will need to type the card code
  • Tap on the “redeem” button. Congratulations, you have successfully redeemed the card at this point

Grow Your Digital Art Collection

On Binance, even though you can send the specific gift card to your friends, or family, you can also create your own collection and grow it (still cost-free, Binance does not charge any additional fees for the card collection).

Binance offers various types of designs for the cards, and you can check them out on the gift card mini-app. Each time you create, redeem, or send a card, you can save that specific design to your collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Let’s have a look at some frequently asked questions about the Binance gift card.

Where can I find the Binance Gift Card function?

The Binance Gift card feature is currently available only on the official Binance app. When you open the app, tap on the “profile” button, and then click on the “gift card” button.

Are there any fees for creating, sending, or redeeming the Gift Card?

No! Binance does not charge gift cards, they are cost-free.

Will the Gift Card expire?

No! Binance gift cards do not have an expiration date.

Are gift cards reloadable?

No! At least for the time being, Binance gift cards are not reloadable.

What currencies do gift cards support?

All cryptocurrencies you have in your funding wallet are supported by the Binance gift card. Keep in mind though that the Binance gift card does not support fiat currencies.

What is the difference between adding the card and redeeming the card?

This is an important thing to distinguish if you want to work with gift cards. When you receive the card, you can either immediately redeem it (this way you will credit the crypto to their Funding Wallet immediately), or you can add the card to your account and redeem it later.

Keep in mind that gift cards do not have an expiration date, so you can redeem the card whenever you want.

Can gift cards be redeemed partially?

I wanted to find out if the gift card can be redeemed partially since this would be a pretty cool thing. Just imagine, you receive the card, and for whatever reason, you would like to redeem only part of it now, and the rest in the future.

However, the answer is no, gift cards can only be redeemed in full amount. In other words, when you redeem the card, the full amount of crypto will appear on your funding wallet.

If the gift card has been successfully added to an account but not yet redeemed, is it possible that it will be redeemed by those who know the gift card code?

Every gift card is unique and can be used only once. When you add the card to your account, you become an owner, and no one else can use it anymore (even if they do have the card code).

Actually, once you add the card to your account, the card code will change entirely. So, whoever has the previous code, can’t use it anymore.

If I receive a gift card but do not want to redeem it, can I send it to someone else?

Yes, of course, you can! The first step is to add the card to your account. Once you add it, there is an option to send it to someone else.

What is the difference between the gift card code and the gift card number?

The gift card code is the unique code that you need to use in order to redeem the card. You should pay special security attention to the code since if somebody else has it, they can redeem the card.

On the other hand, with the gift card number, you can check the status and the balance of the card. It is fine to share it with another user if they want to check whether the card was redeemed or not.

If I have already added the gift card to my account, do I need to enter the gift card code again to redeem it?

No, you don’t enter the code again. You can redeem it directly from your account.
