Crypto analyst CryptoBull put out a lofty price prediction for XRP, the native token of the Ripple payment network.
In a tweet on Thursday, CryptoBull noted that during its first major bull run, XRP surged from $0.002 to $3.84. He believes that if XRP follows the same pattern in the current bull market, it could reach up to $220.
If we follow the very same pattern this bullrun we could find XRP at $220,” CryptoBull stated.
In a follow-up tweet, he clarified that his analysis is theoretical and based solely on past performance trends. CryptoBull indicated he plans to start selling some XRP holdings if the price reaches $5, but will keep a portion in case the $220 target is met.
Ripple has been engaged in a legal battle with the SEC over whether XRP should be classified as a security. A ruling is expected sometime this year and could have significant implications for XRP’s future.
