Elon Musk wants to turn X into an “everything app.” He believes X Payments could become half of the global financial system. In a podcast, Musk talked about creating a payment system with minimal fraud, according to Zach Humphries. This makes us wonder if blockchain technology might be part of his plan.
Zach Humphries, who has over 191 thousand YouTube subscribers, thinks XRP could be the answer. He sees a natural fit between XRP’s capabilities and what Musk wants to achieve with X Payments.

Connecting the Dots: XRP and X Payments
According to Zach Humphries, Fox Business reported that X Payments is coming soon. An X Payments account already exists. There are whispers about private meetings between Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Elon Musk, though nothing is confirmed yet.
When asked about taking Ripple public, Garlinghouse said “Not right now.” He explained that Ripple is focusing on partnerships and acquisitions instead. This strategy might have something to do with X Payments.
XRP’s Original Purpose and Capabilities
Many people think XRP was made for banks. That’s partly true, but Humphries explains that XRP was really created to break the banks’ monopoly. It aims to cut out middlemen and offer better person-to-person transfers than Bitcoin.
XRP was designed as an improved version of Bitcoin. It’s more efficient and can do more things, like tokenizing assets. While Bitcoin fans often call XRP a “bank coin” or “centralized coin,” Humphries argues that Ripple is building technology for everyone, not just financial institutions.
The XRP Ledger was built for decentralized finance and everyday users. This matches X Payments’ goal to become a global payment app.
XRP already handles cross-border payments effectively. This makes it reasonable to think X Payments might use what XRP has built. XRP is now integrating with the SWIFT payment system through EastNet’s PaymentSafe. This allows XRP to move easily across SWIFT’s network, becoming a bridge between different financial systems.

The Logical Connection Between XRP and X Payments
XRP seems to offer exactly what Musk wants for X Payments: seamless transfers, less fraud, and real-time processing. Despite Musk’s known fondness for Dogecoin, XRP technology fits his vision perfectly.
With Ripple seeking partnerships and XRP connecting to global payment networks, a collaboration between Ripple and X Payments makes sense. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the matching goals and compatible technology make this an interesting possibility to watch.
