XRP Just Flashed the Signal Bulls Needed After Weeks of Pain!

Ripple’s XRP finally gave bulls something to smile about, even if the price hasn’t budged yet.

Over the last day, the XRP price dropped 1.41% to $1.06. The Bitcoin price did better. Speculation is cooling off across the board. Traders are closing out leveraged bets. XRP’s open interest hit a six-month low. Liquidation numbers are calm, nobody seems to have strong feelings one way or the other.

Bitcoin is soaking up most of the money right now. That’s pulling liquidity away from altcoins. Even with steady inflows into U.S. spot XRP ETFs, it hasn’t been enough to turn things around.

But underneath all that weakness, something good happened. Real-world asset adoption on the XRP Ledger is picking up speed. And Ripple is putting more money into the network’s infrastructure, building out the tools that could make the whole ecosystem stronger down the road.

RWA Growth on the XRP Ledger Explodes

One of the strongest fundamental developments for the XRP price has little to do with speculation. It is coming from the XRP Ledger’s expanding role in tokenizing real-world assets.

BSC News pulled data from rwa.xyz. Over the last month, the number of people holding RWAs on the XRP Ledger went up 25%. And the total dollar value of those tokenized assets grew 2%, now sitting at $4.06 billion.

This matters because this isn’t day traders jumping in and out. These are bigger players, institutions, putting money to work. More holders mean more people actually using the network for real things. And that growing dollar value? That’s new money flowing in, not just the same money moving around.

For Ripple, this is immense. This is exactly what the XRP Ledger was built for. When financial assets start moving onto a blockchain, you need solid infrastructure to handle issuing them, settling trades, holding them safely, and keeping up with rules and regulations. More activity means more need for all of that.

Ripple’s New Investments Aim to Supercharge the Network

Ripple has backed that vision with two strategic investments announced on August 3.

The company invested in ZILO, which provides regulated transfer agency and fund administration technology, and Licuido, a platform focused on tokenized asset issuance, trading, and collateral mobility.

The goal is to strengthen institutional infrastructure on the XRP Ledger.

Ripple says its ecosystem is designed to combine asset issuance, custody, collateral management, multi-currency investing, and atomic settlement using RLUSD as the regulated payment asset. The company also noted that tokenized funds can immediately be used as collateral, allowing institutions to borrow, lend, or settle transactions without relying on traditional settlement systems.

These investments also build on Ripple’s partnerships with Aviva Investors, Franklin Templeton, and DBS to expand institutional tokenization on the XRP Ledger.

The network itself continues to provide a strong foundation, having processed more than 4 billion transactions since launch, supporting over 7 million active wallets and operating through 120 independent validators.

Why This Matters After Weeks of XRP Price Weakness

The XRP price has struggled because market participation has dried up.

With open interest at a six-month low and leverage leaving the market, short-term momentum has faded. Also, Bitcoin’s growing market dominance has limited capital flowing into altcoins.

Fundamental growth, however, paints a different picture. The increase in RWA adoption, expanding institutional partnerships, and Ripple’s continued investment in financial infrastructure show that development on the XRP Ledger has continued even as the XRP price moved lower.

That combination often creates a healthier backdrop than rallies driven purely by speculation.

What This Could Mean for XRP Price Next

The XRP price still needs stronger buying volume before a sustained recovery can begin.

Steady ETF inflows have not yet been enough to reverse selling pressure, but expanding institutional adoption could gradually improve investor confidence if tokenized assets continue growing on the XRP Ledger.

If capital begins rotating back into altcoins and leverage returns alongside stronger demand for XRPL-based financial products, Ripple’s XRP could find the catalyst it has been missing over the past several weeks.

For now, price action remains cautious, but the underlying network data points to improving fundamentals that bulls have been waiting to see.
