Is FTX’s Sam Bankman-Fried the Mysterious “Bald Deployer”? A Crypto Twitter Analyst Provides Clues

A widely-followed crypto analyst on Twitter, @hype_eth, has drawn attention to what he believes is a connection between FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried and a mysterious crypto developer behind the BALD project who did a big rug pull on the newly launched Base mainnet. This claim has set the crypto world ablaze, with thousands of investors and enthusiasts buzzing about the possible links between Bankman-Fried, FTX, and the elusive Bald dev.

The Twitter analyst, who is well-known for his technical analysis and deep dives into crypto market data, tweeted a series of claims providing evidence that points towards Bankman-Fried as being the Bald developer. He alleges that there have been substantial connections onchain between the former CEO of FTX, a failed crypto exchange, and Bald.

The well-regarded crypto detective further pointed out that the Bald developer was the first voter on all proposals on SushiSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX), and was the largest trader on the DEX platform dYdX. The Bald Deployer’s dYdX posts, he says, bear a striking resemblance to the way Sam Bankman-Fried communicates.

Adding fuel to the fire, @hype_eth suggests that certain on-chain activities align with Bankman-Fried’s known court dates and instances when he was known to be using a VPN. Furthermore, he noticed similarities between Bankman-Fried’s language patterns and those of the Bald creator. Tweets containing unique sentence structures like the solitary response “correct”, the frequent use of the conjunction “nor”, and the phrase “quite well” appeared in both Bankman-Fried’s and the Bald Deployer’s tweets.

He also noted that the official Twitter account for Project Serum, a decentralized exchange built on the Solana blockchain, changed its name to @0xLukaeth and began promoting $bald, giving more weight to his claims.

While these connections are compelling, they are not definitive proof. @hype_eth encouraged his followers to retweet his original tweet and to direct message him with any more evidence.

As the crypto world waits for more pieces of this puzzle, the rumors continue to swirl. This high-stakes mystery only adds to the intrigue and unpredictability that characterize the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency. Whether or not Sam Bankman-Fried is indeed the Bald Deployer remains to be seen, but it is certain that the crypto community will continue to watch the developments with bated breath.
