Dogecoin Price Prediction: This Analyst Isn’t Buying the Recovery Story

Dogecoin is feeling the heat, falling 4.69% to $0.0784 over 24 hours as crypto markets digest a fresh wave of risk-off selling. Bitcoin’s spot ETFs recorded about $450.33 million in net outflows on September 15, the biggest daily outflow since June 25, after the US Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act in a 49-50 vote.

The Bitcoin price also fell below $76,000, dragging major altcoins lower. The DOGE price has been hit harder, with its September 15 session reaching $0.0784 before closing near $0.0800.

The bigger question now is whether this is another temporary Dogecoin dip or the start of a deeper decline. Two analysts have very different answers, and their charts offer clues. That disagreement matters as traders assess Dogecoin’s next move.

Dogecoin Price Faces Another Test

The latest price data gives bears a reason to remain cautious. DOGE opened September 15 around $0.0836 and fell to $0.0784 before ending the day near $0.0800, marking a decline of more than 4%. On September 16, the DOGE price traded around $0.079–$0.080, keeping it close to the previous day’s low.

The broader market backdrop has also been weak. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $450.33 million in net outflows on September 15, and Bitcoin fell below $76,000 after the Senate’s 49-50 vote against advancing the CLARITY Act.

For DOGE, that creates a difficult setup because meme coins tend to be highly sensitive to broad risk appetite.

Why This Analyst Isn’t Buying the DOGE Recovery

MCO Global, posting as @moretradingonl, takes the more cautious view. His argument is simple: the Dogecoin price has produced several rallies that looked promising before losing momentum, so another bounce does not automatically confirm a new bullish cycle.

The key level on his chart is $0.173. His view is that DOGE needs to reclaim that area before the latest recovery can be treated as something different from previous temporary rallies.

That level is important because it is far above the current price near $0.08. A move from $0.0784 to $0.173 would require roughly a 120% increase. Until DOGE gets back above that resistance, MCO Global’s chart leaves room for the recovery thesis to fail.

Polaris XBT Sees a Different DOGE Setup

Polaris XBT takes the opposite side of the technical picture. His chart marks the area around $0.06 as a major support zone and shows potential upside targets around $0.122, $0.145 and $0.173.

His comment is also clear: the risk/reward could become attractive for longs even if the DOGE price first falls toward $0.06, because that area could offer a spot-buying opportunity.

The chart uses an Elliott Wave structure, with the projected move pointing toward a larger wave recovery after the corrective phase. That makes the $0.06 area particularly important. A sustained break below it would weaken the structure shown on his chart.

Updates Pushing Dogecoin Price

There is also mixed fundamental news around DOGE. Large holders accumulated more than 240 million DOGE between September 9 and September 14, and analyst Ali Martinez identified $0.0813 as an important support area. His stated upside target is $0.1774 if that support holds.

Also, Bitwise is closing its Dogecoin ETF, BWOW. Trading is scheduled to end on October 14, with liquidation proceeds due around October 22. The fund had only about $688,000 in net assets as of September 9, showing how small the product had become. Bitwise said the decision was part of optimizing its product range.

One more point needs clarification: the proposed reduction of Dogecoin’s block reward from 10,000 to 1,000 DOGE is a real GitHub proposal, but it dates to January 2025, not September 2026. It has not become a confirmed protocol change.

For the DOGE  price, the key levels are therefore clear: $0.0813 and $0.06 on the downside, with $0.122, $0.145, $0.173 and $0.1774 marking the main recovery zones discussed by the analysts.
