We Asked 3 AI Models if Solana (SOL) Price Can Ever Reach $1,000

Solana price has already proved that SOL can deliver extraordinary moves, but reaching $1,000 would demand something much bigger than another normal crypto rally. SOL currently trades near $97 after falling about 67% from its $294.85 all time high, which leaves an enormous gap between today’s price and the 4 figure target.

That gap raises an interesting question as the market looks toward 2030. Could Solana grow enough over the next 4 years to turn $1,000 from an ambitious target into reality?

We asked Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok to assess that possibility. Their probability estimates differ, but all 3 models agree on one important point. Solana reaching $1,000 is possible, although several major developments would need to fall into place.

Solana Price Has Fallen Far From Its $294.85 Record

Solana’s path toward its current $97 price started with an impressive recovery during 2024. SOL moved from around $102 to $165 during the early and middle parts of that year, although the token briefly dropped below $95.

Demand strengthened later that year and Solana price eventually moved beyond $200. That advance prepared the ground for another rally during early 2025.

SOL Price Chart / TradingView.com

SOL reached its current all time high of $294.85 on January 19, 2025. The celebration did not last very long.

Heavy profit taking and broader crypto liquidations pushed Solana into a steep decline. SOL lost 36% during February and another 15.7% during March. Continued weakness eventually left Solana near $124 at the end of 2025.

The first half of 2026 brought more pressure. Solana price dropped from around $124 toward the mid $70 range before recovering during August.

SOL eventually moved through resistance around $78 and $90 before reaching $102.74. The token has since pulled back toward $97.17.

That leaves SOL about 67% below its record and roughly 90% below the proposed $1,000 target.

PeriodSolana Price Development
Early 2024SOL traded around $102 before advancing
Late 2024Solana price moved above $200
January 2025SOL reached its $294.85 all time high
End of 2025SOL finished near $124
Mid 2026Price dropped into the mid $70 range
August 2026SOL recovered above $100 before returning near $97

Solana therefore has considerable ground to recover before $1,000 becomes an immediate price discussion. However, market capitalization gives a better picture of exactly how difficult that journey could become.

A $1,000 Solana Price Would Require A Market Cap Near $600 Billion

SOL reaching $1,000 would represent roughly a 10x increase from its current level.

Using approximately 580 million SOL as a starting circulating supply, a $1,000 price would give Solana a market capitalization near $580 billion.

Future supply growth makes the calculation more complicated. Solana does not have a fixed maximum supply, and new SOL continues entering circulation through its inflation mechanism. The annual inflation rate declines over time before eventually reaching 1.5%.

Circulating supply could therefore exceed today’s level considerably before 2030. A hypothetical supply of 620 million SOL would require a market capitalization of approximately $620 billion at a $1,000 Solana price.

That valuation would put Solana among the largest crypto networks the market has ever produced.

Several developments could make such a valuation easier to justify:

  • Institutional investment through spot crypto ETFs would need to grow considerably.
  • Solana would need greater use across stablecoins, payments, DeFi and tokenized real world assets.
  • Network upgrades would need to provide dependable performance as activity increases.
  • High staking participation could reduce the amount of SOL readily available for trading.
  • Greater network activity could increase fee burns and offset part of the new SOL issuance.

Solana already has pieces of that infrastructure today. The harder challenge involves expanding those areas enough to support a valuation several times larger than SOL’s previous record.

That challenge formed the basis of the question presented to Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok.

Claude Gives Solana A 15% To 25% Chance Of Sustaining $1,000

Claude offered the most conservative probability among the 3 AI models.

The AI estimates that Solana has roughly a 15% to 25% chance of reaching and sustaining $1,000. Claude considers the target a plausible bullish scenario instead of an expected outcome.

Market capitalization played a major role in that assessment. SOL would need roughly a 10x advance from $97 and would likely require a valuation approaching $600 billion or more.

Claude AI Response

Claude argued that such a valuation would require Solana to become a dominant or co dominant smart contract platform. Ordinary ecosystem expansion probably would not be enough.

Network reliability also remains part of Claude’s concern. Solana has dealt with technical problems during its history, and future disruptions could make conservative institutional investors more cautious.

The AI nevertheless sees a credible route toward $1,000.

ETF infrastructure already gives traditional investors greater access to SOL. Growth across stablecoin payments and tokenized real world assets could also create more fundamental demand for the network.

Claude additionally pointed toward staking and fee burns as potentially useful parts of the supply equation. Greater activity could increase burns, and high staking participation could keep more SOL away from the actively traded market.

Claude ultimately described $1,000 as a plausible upside scenario that depends on several major developments happening successfully.

ChatGPT Gives SOL About A 30% Chance Of Touching $1,000

ChatGPT was somewhat more optimistic than Claude and estimated a 25% to 35% probability that Solana touches $1,000 before the end of 2030.

A single probability estimate would put ChatGPT’s assessment near 30%.

One important distinction separates this estimate from Claude’s figure. ChatGPT assessed the probability of SOL briefly touching $1,000 rather than remaining above that level for an extended period.

ChatGPT Response

Crypto assets can reach extreme valuations during powerful bull markets before dropping considerably. That makes briefly reaching $1,000 easier than maintaining the price.

ChatGPT estimated only a 15% to 20% chance that SOL sustainably trades above $1,000 around 2030.

Its broader price assessment looked like this:

SOL Price Around 2030ChatGPT Probability
Below $20020%
$200 To $40030%
$400 To $70025%
$700 To $99910%
$1,000 Or Higher15%

ChatGPT considers $400 to $700 a more realistic bullish area based on current information.

Solana would probably need another major crypto bull cycle alongside greater institutional participation to push considerably beyond that range. Payments, stablecoins, DeFi and tokenized financial assets would also need to become much larger parts of Solana’s ecosystem.

SOL’s former record near $295 provides another useful checkpoint.

Solana must first rise roughly 3x from current levels simply to revisit that area. SOL would then require another increase of about 239% to move from $295 to $1,000.

ChatGPT argued that a new Solana all time high before 2028 would make the $1,000 scenario considerably more credible.

Grok Gives Solana A 25% To 40% Chance Of Reaching $1,000

Grok produced the highest probability range among the 3 AI models.

The model estimates a 25% to 40% chance that Solana price reaches $1,000 before the end of 2030. That puts its midpoint around 32.5%.

Grok based its assessment partly on the enormous range found across existing institutional and analyst forecasts.

Standard Chartered analyst Geoff Kendrick has presented one of the stronger bullish cases, with a path that puts SOL around $1,200 by the end of 2029 and $2,000 by the end of 2030. That outlook depends heavily on Solana expanding beyond speculative activity toward stablecoin micropayments, AI-related transactions, and broader financial use.

Grok AI Response

More conservative forecasts show why Grok stopped well below a 50% probability.

VanEck has previously produced scenarios with enormous differences between bearish and bullish outcomes. Those wide ranges demonstrate how difficult long range crypto forecasts become when network adoption, market cycles and valuations can change dramatically.

Grok believes several conditions would need to work together. Institutional inflows would need to remain strong, real world utility would need substantial expansion, and Solana’s technology would need to handle higher activity reliably.

Competition presents another obstacle. Ethereum and its Layer 2 networks continue competing for developers, users and institutional capital, while other high performance networks could also challenge Solana over the coming years.

A prolonged crypto downturn could make the $1,000 target considerably harder to reach before 2030.

All 3 AI Models Agree That $1,000 Is Possible But Far From Guaranteed

The probability estimates become especially useful when placed beside each other.

AI ModelEstimated Chance Of SOL Reaching $1,000General View
Claude15% To 25%Plausible bullish scenario
ChatGPT25% To 35%Possible during a strong bull market
Grok25% To 40%Realistic bullish outcome under favorable conditions

None of the 3 AI models considers $1,000 the obvious destination for Solana price.

Claude remains the most cautious, particularly when $1,000 means a sustained valuation. ChatGPT puts the chance of briefly reaching the target near 30%, but considers $400 to $700 a more realistic bullish zone. Grok gives SOL the widest and highest probability range at 25% to 40%.

A rough midpoint across their central estimates comes to around 28%, although these percentages remain subjective assessments rather than mathematical forecasts.

Solana therefore appears to have a meaningful route toward $1,000, but that path demands much more than recovering from its current downturn.

SOL first needs to reclaim $200 and challenge its $294.85 record. A successful move beyond that level would bring $400, $500 and eventually $700 into the discussion before $1,000 becomes the next major milestone.
