A lot of investors might have grown doubtful that another major altcoin season will happen in 2025. The market feels different this time. Bitcoin continues to grab all the attention, while many assume the real action is already over.
An analyst from the Altcoin Buzz YouTube channel explains why the crypto market could still experience an altseason before the year runs out. In a detailed breakdown on his channel, Matty explained that while the spotlight has stayed on Bitcoin, certain trends are quietly forming across altcoins.
These patterns, he says, could signal the start of another powerful rotation. He believes there are three clear catalysts that might completely flip the narrative and set up a new wave for tokens like ADA, SUI, SOL, ETH, and XRP.

Market Reset Could Prepare the Ground for the Next Altcoin Rally
Matty began by revisiting what he called the market’s de-leveraging phase a major clean-up that tends to come before a rally. He pointed to the drop on October 10 when Bitcoin fell around 20%, and most altcoins plunged between 70% and 80%.
According to him, this reset could be the spark that reignites altcoin momentum. Many tokens became oversold compared to Bitcoin. ADA token was oversold but it continues to build on solid fundamentals. Cardano remains one of the most technically sound networks in the market. It is driven by research and steady development.
Matty believes that when markets stabilize, strong projects like ADA and SUI could be among the first to recover not because of speculation, but because of their real progress and long-term focus.
Falling Bitcoin Dominance Could Open the Door for Altcoins
The second reason Matty mentioned is tied to Bitcoin’s dominance in the market. The metric recently dropped below 60%, and based on past cycles, whenever it falls toward 54%, altcoins tend to rally strongly.
He explained that this shift marks the start of capital rotation. When Bitcoin’s momentum cools, traders often move profits into other assets with higher growth potential. This process usually begins with large-cap coins like Ethereum before spreading to mid and small caps.
That rotation already appears to be happening. The SUI token has had an exceptional 2025 so far. Its price is up more than 240% over the past 12 months. Its total value locked in DeFi has surpassed $2 billion. Sui’s ecosystem continues to expand into gaming, stablecoins, and even meme coins, showing broad adoption.
Matty added that Ethereum and Solana could also benefit once this shift strengthens. He mentioned that the duo have strong institutional interest and active ecosystems. This makes them likely beneficiaries when money starts flowing away from Bitcoin.
Real-World Growth and Institutional Interest Are Fueling Confidence
Matty’s third point focused on the changing nature of crypto adoption. He explained that altcoins are no longer just speculative assets. Many now have real-world use cases and institutional backing that give them staying power.
Cardano, Sui, Ethereum, and Solana are no longer just ideas. They now run DeFi apps, NFTs, and stablecoins. Some even power business tools. Matty said big firms like BlackRock are exploring crypto ETFs and tokenized assets. This shows crypto is slowly merging with traditional finance.
He also noted Ripple as one of the tokens positioned to benefit from these trends. XRP’s growing presence in payment networks and treasury systems, combined with its improving regulatory position, could help it perform well in a broader altseason.
Matty emphasized that this new phase of crypto growth will likely be more compliance-led and institution-driven, rather than purely speculative. That change could make the next altcoin rally more sustainable than those of the past.

By the end of his breakdown, Matty made it clear that 2025’s altseason might look very different from earlier cycles. The days when almost every coin rallied together are likely over. Instead, only select projects those with strong fundamentals, adoption, and institutional support are likely to lead the charge.
ADA price remains attractive at current levels, SUI continues to build real utility, and ETH, SOL, and XRP each have strong cases for long-term growth. The combination of market reset, declining Bitcoin dominance, and rising real-world use forms a powerful setup for altcoins to shine again.
