The XRP price is down 5.96% to $1.50 in 24 hours, underperforming the broader crypto market as traders take profits after the token climbed to a seven-month high near $1.65.
The decline comes after XRPUSD broke higher on rising volume and moved above key daily moving averages, with the $1.36–$1.37 area now acting as an important support zone.
The daily RSI remains in the upper 60s, close to overbought territory, showing that buyers had pushed the move hard before the latest decline. With whale accumulation, new XRPL developments and fresh regulatory-market-structure news in the mix, here’s where the XRP price could go today.

News That Could Push XRP Price Tomorrow
Whales have bought 1.54 billion XRP worth about $2.2 billion in 96 hours, creating a major test for the market around the $1.60 area.
The key question is whether this buying can absorb the supply from traders taking profits after XRP reached around $1.65. If large buyers continue accumulating near $1.50–$1.60, the XRP price could have a stronger base for another attempt at the recent high.
The CFTC has also announced that it is using existing statutory authority to establish a crypto asset regulatory market structure. XRP already has established regulatory clarity in the United States, so the development could reduce one source of uncertainty around the asset as the broader US crypto market structure develops.
Ripple also has a connection to discussions around the future of the global financial system. Ripple executives participated in Reinventing Bretton Woods events in 2019 and 2022, and the IMF has now held a “Bretton Woods to the Digital Age” conference covering digital money, crypto and future payments.
These events do not directly create XRP demand, but they provide additional context for Ripple’s focus on cross-border payments and financial infrastructure.
The XRP Ledger has also recorded several important developments. XRPL’s burn rate increased 84.3%, with 771.7 XRP destroyed through transaction fees, although the amount is too small to create a meaningful supply reduction.
XLS-65 and XLS-66 have entered validator voting and need more than 80% support for two consecutive weeks, potentially bringing pooled vaults and fixed-term lending to XRPL. Ripple has also launched an AI-assisted security program with continuous vulnerability testing, including fixes to bugs found in the proposed XLS-68 amendment.
What Is the XRP Chart Saying?
We had a look at the XRP chart, and the immediate picture is mixed after the token failed to hold the move above $1.60. Ripple’s XRP price climbed from around $1.25 to roughly $1.65, but the latest candles show sellers taking control near the top of that range.

The orange level around $1.55 is now an important resistance area, with XRP trading below it at about $1.50.
The 4-hour RSI is at 51.30, down from the higher readings reached during the rally, putting the indicator back near neutral territory. The Ultimate Oscillator is also at 46.28, which does not show an extreme reading. This gives buyers room to recover without the 4-hour indicators being deeply overbought, but XRP still needs to reclaim $1.55 before the chart becomes more constructive.
The main support zone is around $1.36–$1.37, where the longer-term moving average identified in the setup now sits. If Ripple’s XRP price holds well above this area, the broader recovery structure remains intact. A break below it would put the $1.25–$1.30 region back into focus.

Where Will XRP Price Go Today?
The bullish path would see XRP reclaim $1.55, followed by a retest of $1.60–$1.65. Strong whale accumulation and continued XRPL developments could help buyers defend the recovery.
The base path places the XRP price between $1.45 and $1.55, as traders digest the 5.96% daily decline and the move from $1.65. A close around this range would keep the market in consolidation mode.
The bearish path opens if Ripple’s XRP loses $1.45, with the price potentially moving toward $1.36–$1.37. That level is the key support to watch, and a break below it could expose XRP to the $1.25–$1.30 zone
