Crypto Price Predictions for Today (October 12): XRP, Bitcoin, and Ethereum

A new week is starting with the crypto market attempting to recover from the heavy selling pressure seen earlier in October.

Bitcoin is trading around $83,800, Ethereum has recovered above $2,550, and XRP is back near $1.41. All three assets bounced from their recent lows, but none has fully repaired the damage from last week’s decline.

The question for October 12 is whether buyers can extend that recovery or whether the latest rebound turns into another opportunity for sellers.

Here are today’s price predictions for three of the largest and most closely followed cryptos.

Crypto News That Could Affect Prices Today

Macro conditions remain the biggest source of risk for crypto.

The U.S. dollar is still trading near an 18-month high, and investors are preparing for Wednesday’s U.S. CPI report. The inflation release could influence expectations for the Federal Reserve’s late-October meeting and the possibility of another rate increase later in the year. Reuters reports that markets currently place an 81% probability on the Fed keeping rates unchanged at the October meeting.

Treasury yields are another problem. The U.S. 10-year yield recently reached about 5.36%, its highest level in more than two decades. High bond yields increase competition for capital and have contributed to weaker demand for risk assets such as crypto.

Institutional flows are also sending mixed signals.

U.S. Bitcoin ETFs recorded roughly $681 million in net withdrawals during the week ended October 9. Ethereum products lost another $542 million and registered outflows during all five trading sessions. XRP was the exception, with its ETFs attracting approximately $11.3 million and extending their positive weekly streak to 13 weeks.

That leaves today’s market in an interesting position. BTC and ETH are recovering technically despite weaker institutional flows, and XRP is receiving ETF inflows even though its price remains well below its late-September levels.

XRP Chart Analysis and Today’s Price Prediction

XRP price is trading near $1.41 on the four-hour chart after recovering from the recent drop toward the $1.33 area.

The rebound has stabilized price, but XRP has not yet produced a convincing move away from its short-term range.

The first resistance zone is around $1.42-$1.43. Above that, $1.45 becomes the more important level. A recovery through $1.45 could open the path toward $1.48-$1.50.

Support begins around $1.39-$1.40.

If that area fails, the next zone to watch is $1.36-$1.37, followed by the recent low around $1.33.

The 200-day moving average is near $1.28, giving XRP another major longer-term support level below the current market.

Momentum is improving but remains relatively neutral.

RSI is around 49.6, compared with its moving average near 44.9. That puts the XRP indicator almost exactly in the middle of its range. Buyers have recovered from the recent oversold conditions, but momentum has not yet become decisively bullish.

For today, the $1.40-$1.42 area should determine the short-term direction.

ScenarioXRP prediction for October 12
BullishHolds $1.40 and clears $1.43, opening $1.45-$1.48
NeutralTrades between $1.39 and $1.43
BearishLoses $1.39 and moves toward $1.36-$1.37

A move above $1.45 would improve the setup considerably, but until that happens, XRP remains in recovery mode.

Bitcoin Chart Analysis and Today’s Price Prediction

Bitcoin price is trading near $83,800 after bouncing from approximately $80,500 earlier in the week.

The four-hour chart shows a steady recovery from that low.

BTC has reclaimed $82,000 and pushed through $83,000, putting the $84,000-$85,000 area back in focus.

That is the first major resistance zone for today.

A clean move through $85,000 could bring $86,000 into play, followed by the recent highs around $87,000-$87,300.

On the downside, $83,000 is now the first level buyers need to defend.

Below that, $82,000 becomes the main short-term support. Losing $82,000 would increase the risk of another test of $80,000-$80,500.

Bitcoin’s RSI is around 56.7, above its signal average near 50.5.

That is a constructive reading. Momentum has moved back above neutral without reaching overbought territory, giving BTC room to push higher if buyers remain active.

The larger structure is also stronger than Ethereum and XRP. Bitcoin remains comfortably above its 200-day moving average near $72,050.

ScenarioBitcoin prediction for October 12
BullishHolds $83K and clears $84K-$85K, targeting $86K
NeutralConsolidates between $82.5K and $85K
BearishFalls below $82.5K and retests $81K-$82K

For today’s session, $85,000 is the most important upside level.

If BTC can reclaim it, momentum could accelerate toward $86,000. Failure there would leave the Bitcoin price trading inside the same broader range that has controlled price for much of the past few weeks.

Ethereum Chart Analysis and Today’s Price Prediction

Ethereum price is trading around $2,560 after recovering from its recent low near $2,405.

That recovery has been stronger over the past several four-hour candles, with ETH moving back above $2,500 and approaching its first important resistance area.

The immediate test is around $2,575-$2,600.

ETH traded heavily around that area before the latest decline, making it a natural point for sellers to return.

If Ethereum can move above $2,600, the next targets are approximately $2,650 and $2,700.

Support begins around $2,520-$2,500.

Below $2,500, the chart becomes weaker again and $2,450 could return quickly. The larger support remains around $2,400-$2,420, where the latest rebound began.

Ethereum’s RSI is around 56.4, compared with its average near 42.1.

The rapid recovery in RSI shows that buyers have regained short-term momentum after the indicator recently fell close to oversold territory.

That makes ETH’s momentum setup fairly constructive for today, although price still needs to overcome $2,600 before the recovery becomes more convincing.

ScenarioEthereum prediction for October 12
BullishClears $2,600 and moves toward $2,650-$2,700
NeutralTrades between $2,500 and $2,600
BearishLoses $2,500 and falls toward $2,450-$2,470

Bitcoin currently has the strongest structure of the three.

Ethereum has produced an encouraging recovery from $2,405, but $2,600 remains a major obstacle. XRP is the least decisive technically, with price near $1.41 and RSI almost perfectly neutral.

For October 12, the key levels to watch are therefore $1.43 for XRP, $85,000 for Bitcoin, and $2,600 for Ethereum. A move through those levels would give buyers a much stronger case for extending the recovery into the new week.
