Kaspa (KAS) has been gaining serious traction lately, and for good reason. In a recent video by YouTuber Cryptochester (source), he breaks down exactly why this proof-of-work coin is starting to explode – and why it might not be done yet.
Currently trading around 10 cents, Kaspa has seen a 71% jump in the past month. The move has surprised many in the crypto space, especially since it seems to be leading the charge ahead of other altcoins. But what’s behind this sudden surge?
Part of it comes from good old Bitcoin. With BTC breaking through $100,000, coins like Kaspa that operate on similar mechanisms often ride the wave. But Kaspa isn’t just copying Bitcoin. It’s aiming to improve on it.
The biggest news, and what Cryptochester calls a “massive, massive update,” is Kaspa’s recent block speed upgrade. The network went from processing 1 block per second to 10 blocks per second. That’s a tenfold increase in speed. This makes the blockchain more scalable, efficient, and capable of handling more users and projects. It’s the kind of technical leap that usually flies under the radar – until it doesn’t.
There’s also speculation that Kaspa might be listed soon on major exchanges like Crypto.com, Binance, and Coinbase. It’s not confirmed yet, but even the rumor has been enough to stir up excitement. Listings on top-tier platforms often bring new investors and fresh momentum.
From a technical analysis perspective, the charts are lining up too. Cryptochester pointed out a falling wedge pattern on the daily chart, which the Kaspa price recently broke out of. This pattern usually signals a strong move to the upside, and the current breakout could carry the price up to $0.14 in the short term.
He also mentioned a larger parallel channel that Kaspa has re-entered. If momentum continues, there’s a clear path to $0.20 – and possibly higher. The bold price prediction? As much as $0.50 to $0.75 in this bull market. That would give Kaspa a market cap between $12 and $13 billion. Not impossible, especially when compared to coins like Dogecoin or Cardano.
In simple terms, Kaspa upgraded its blockchain to process 10 blocks per second instead of just 1. That’s a 10x speed boost, which significantly improves:
- Transaction throughput (more transactions per second)
- Scalability (can handle more users and projects)
- Efficiency (less network congestion and faster confirmations)
This upgrade makes Kaspa one of the fastest proof-of-work blockchains in existence, without switching to proof-of-stake or compromising on decentralization.
