Silver Price Prediction: Analyst Who Called the Last Silver Crash Says $45 Comes Next

One analyst warned silver investors about a trap five months ago, and the metal has dropped since then. Now the same analyst has a fresh roadmap that includes one more painful drop before any real recovery. The details of that plan may surprise anyone who expects a quick bounce.

Analyst Phantom_Defi, who posts on X as @0xPhantomDefi, says he flagged the $71 level as a bull trap about five months ago. Silver has fallen 31% since then, which puts the price close to the $49 area. He also points to an earlier bull trap at $89. The pattern he describes is two failed rallies, each followed by a steep decline.

He believes the silver price may now be nearing a critical support zone. That zone could complete what he calls a massive double bottom on the chart.

Silver Price Roadmap From $49 to $45 and Then $122 Explained in Order

Phantom_Defi lays out his plan with three price levels. It helps to take them one at a time.

  • $49: This is the starting point of the roadmap. He describes the area as a critical support zone near the current price.
  • $45: This is where he expects one final selloff, followed by capitulation. He describes panic selling that pushes the last remaining bulls out of the market.
  • $122: This is the potential recovery target for 2027 and 2028. It would mean more than 170% upside from $45.

He stresses that $45 is a key support zone and not a guaranteed bottom. He also says he is not buying every dip. Silver would first need to hold $45 and confirm a reversal before he starts watching for a major entry.

Why Phantom_Defi Thinks Fear at $45 Could Mark a Major Silver Bottom

The most interesting part of his argument is about investor psychology. He says many investors chased silver at $89 and bought the fake recovery at $71. Those same investors may feel too nervous to buy when silver finally reaches $45.

In his view, that kind of fear is how major market bottoms often form. Impatient investors sell, and patient investors wait for confirmation. He adds that the next rally could begin when almost nobody believes it is possible.

He also said he will share his next buy confirmation publicly. This remains one analyst’s opinion and not a certainty, so the roadmap should be read as a scenario and not a guarantee.

Short Term Silver Price Levels From a Separate Technical Outlook

A separate technical outlook on silver gives a closer look at the near term. Silver moved higher today from a low near $49 to around $52. It now trades near $51.6 and faces resistance around $52.1.

If silver breaks above $52.1, the outlook points to a move toward $55 in the coming sessions. A break above $55 could then open the way to $58.7. The downside matters just as much. If silver loses support near $48, the price could drop further toward $45.

The outlook also warns that $45 may fail to hold. Silver could then fall as low as $41. Here is how the levels line up:

Silver Price LevelRoleWhat Could Follow
$58.7Upside targetNext target after a break above $55
$55Upside targetMove toward $58.7 if it breaks
$52.1ResistanceA break opens the path to $55
$48SupportA loss opens the path to $45
$45Key supportA loss opens the path to $41
$41Downside targetDeeper decline if $45 fails

Both Views Point to $45 as the Key Silver Support Zone

The two outlooks use different timeframes, but they overlap in an interesting way. Phantom_Defi expects silver to reach $45 before a larger recovery begins. The technical outlook also names $45 as the next major level if $48 fails.

That overlap makes $45 the price to watch. The two views differ on what happens next. Phantom_Defi calls $45 a possible bottom, and the technical outlook warns of $41 if the level breaks.

What Could Happen Next for the Silver Price Near $45

Two scenarios stand out from these views.

  • Scenario one: Silver falls to $45, holds that level, and confirms a reversal. That outcome would match the double bottom Phantom_Defi describes, and his $122 target for 2027 and 2028 would stay in play.
  • Scenario two: Silver loses $45 and keeps falling. The technical outlook names $41 as the next possible stop in that case.

Silver also needs to clear nearer hurdles first. A move above $52.1 would challenge the idea of another drop to $45, at least in the short term.
