Michaël van de Poppe believes the altcoin market could be preparing for another strong post-FOMC move.
His view is based on what happened after the previous Federal Reserve meeting, when several altcoins posted large gains within roughly two weeks.
Van de Poppe points to SUI pumping about 100%, NEAR around 142%, and ZEC roughly 60% during that period.
He believes a similar pattern could develop again.
The analyst argues that crypto moves in waves. After a strong two-week rally, a market-wide correction is normal, and he believes much of that correction may now be close to finishing.
SUI Is His Main Example
The chart he shared focuses on SUI.
SUI previously rallied from roughly $0.67 toward $1.29, a move of around 93%, before entering a prolonged correction.
Price has now returned to the $0.90-$0.94 region.
Van de Poppe marks several nearby support levels around $0.93, $0.90, $0.87 and $0.83, with the current price close to $0.94.

That means SUI is trading close to an area where buyers could potentially step back in if the broader altcoin market improves.
The chart also shows MACD beginning to recover from negative territory, although price still needs to prove that the downtrend has ended.
Could Altcoins Really Rally 100-200%?
Van de Poppe is not saying every altcoin will automatically double after the FOMC meeting.
His point is that the previous post-Fed period produced very large moves, and he believes the current market could follow a similar cycle.
I think the key part of his take is the timing.
Altcoins have already gone through a correction after their previous run. If Bitcoin stabilizes and liquidity begins moving back into smaller assets, some of the strongest altcoins could outperform quickly.
But the setup still depends heavily on Bitcoin.
If BTC remains weak or breaks major support, altcoins are unlikely to deliver clean 100-200% moves.
If Bitcoin stabilizes and the market begins rotating back into risk, however, Van de Poppe’s scenario becomes much more realistic.
For SUI specifically, holding the $0.90 area would be an important first step.
A stronger recovery above $1.00-$1.05 would improve the setup, while a break below the lower support zone around $0.83 would weaken the bullish case.
Van de Poppe’s broader message is simple: the correction may be nearing its end, and the next two weeks could once again produce some of the strongest altcoin moves in the market.
