Here’s How High Gold and Silver Prices Could Go This Week

Gold and silver enter the new week trying to recover from a difficult stretch.

Gold is trading a little above $4,100, near $4,190 on the latest chart, after rebounding from a two-month low. Silver is back around $60 after recovering from the high-$50s.

Both metals were hit earlier in the week by the same macro pressure: a stronger U.S. dollar, Treasury yields above 5%, and expectations that the Federal Reserve could still raise rates again before year-end. That environment is difficult for non-yielding assets such as gold and silver.

The pressure eased somewhat into Friday. Gold reached a one-week high as bargain hunting returned, yields cooled and the dollar weakened. Silver also rebounded more than 2%. Markets now put relatively low odds on an October hike, but another increase by December remains a major possibility.

Oil is another factor to watch. Brent remains above $100, and elevated energy prices can keep inflation expectations high, which may support a tighter Fed path. At the same time, any further cooling in oil or Treasury yields would likely help precious metals.

The upcoming U.S. CPI report could therefore become one of the most important catalysts for both gold and silver this week.

Gold Price Analysis

Gold is trading near $4,194 on the four-hour chart after bouncing from roughly $4,080.

The short-term structure has improved.

Price has formed a higher low and pushed back toward the $4,200 area, which is now the first major resistance.

Above that, $4,250 becomes the next target, followed by roughly $4,300.

The main problem is the broader trend.

Gold remains far below its 200-day moving average near $4,531. That means the current advance is still a recovery inside a larger corrective structure.

On the downside, $4,150 is the first support.

Below that, $4,100-$4,080 becomes critical again.

RSI is around 60.5, above its signal average near 50.6. That indicates improving bullish momentum without putting gold into overbought territory yet.

So the chart gives gold room to continue higher if $4,200 finally breaks.

Silver Price Analysis

Silver is trading near $60.82 after recovering from a recent low close to $58.50.

The four-hour structure is also improving, but silver has more resistance directly overhead.

The first major test is around $61-$62.

Price spent considerable time in that area before the latest decline, so sellers could return there.

If silver clears $62, the next areas to watch are $64 and then $66.

Support begins around $60.

Below that, $58.50-$59 becomes the key zone. A failure there could reopen the path toward $56.

Silver’s RSI is near 55.9, compared with its signal average around 43.7.

That is a constructive reading and confirms momentum has improved after the recent low.

However, the silver price remains well below its 200-day moving average near $72.65, so just like gold, the larger trend has not fully recovered.

Gold and Silver Price Predictions for This Week

AssetBullish scenarioNeutral scenarioBearish scenario
GoldBreaks $4,200 and moves toward $4,250-$4,300Trades between $4,100 and $4,200Loses $4,100 and retests $4,080, potentially $4,000-$4,050
SilverClears $62 and targets $64-$66Trades between $59 and $62Falls below $59 and targets $56-$58

Gold currently has the cleaner technical setup.

A break above $4,200 could quickly bring $4,250-$4,300 into play, especially if Treasury yields continue cooling.

Silver has also improved, but $61-$62 is a tougher immediate ceiling.

If macro conditions turn friendlier for precious metals, a move toward $64-$66 this week would be realistic.

The biggest risk to both forecasts remains another jump in yields or a stronger-than-expected inflation reading.

If yields rise again, gold could fall back toward $4,100 and the silver price could revisit the high-$50s.
