Silver Price Prediction as Trump Meets Mining CEOs Over Critical Minerals Push

Silver price is nearing an important technical decision as President Donald Trump prepares to meet leading mining executives over America’s critical minerals strategy. The meeting could carry broader consequences for domestic production, mineral stockpiles, and future demand for strategic metals.

Technical analysts remain divided about what happens next. One chart points toward a bullish breakout, though another warns that silver has not shown enough strength. Silver price is also trapped between major support and resistance zones, which makes the coming move especially important.

Silver Price Breakout Places $60.60 and $62.80 Within Reach

Market analyst Klejdi Cuni has identified a breakout from a falling wedge pattern on the silver chart. Silver found support near the lower trendline before moving above the wedge resistance.

Falling wedges often appear when selling pressure weakens gradually. A confirmed breakout can indicate that buyers have regained control, especially when price remains above the former resistance line.

Cuni identified 2 bullish silver price targets:

  • The first resistance target stands near $60.60.
  • The larger resistance target appears around $62.80.

Silver must maintain the wedge breakout for those targets to remain valid. A return beneath the former resistance line would weaken the bullish setup and raise questions about whether the breakout can continue.

The $62.80 target carries additional importance because silver price has struggled near that general area since late June. Buyers would need to clear that barrier before a larger advance becomes more realistic.

Ian Cooper Needs Silver Price Above $64.65 Before Turning Bullish

Analyst Ian Cooper remains more cautious about the silver price outlook. Cooper noted that silver has moved above his orange trendline, though he does not consider that development enough to confirm a lasting recovery.

Trendlines can change depending on how analysts connect previous highs and lows. Cooper added a second yellow trendline that places silver price far below a confirmed breakout. That difference explains why one chart can appear bullish and another can remain uncertain.

Cooper wants silver price to reclaim $64.65 before adopting a bullish view. Such a move would show greater strength and place the metal above its recent consolidation area.

His analysis presents 3 possible outcomes. Silver could fall into the $46 to $54 zone, which Cooper considers the most likely scenario. Silver could instead establish a bottom and reclaim $64.65, where a successful retest could confirm stronger demand. Price could also rise without producing a clear entry around major levels, which would leave no suitable trade under his plan.

The contrast between Cuni and Cooper comes down to confirmation. Cuni views the falling wedge breakout as an early bullish signal. Cooper wants price to overcome a much higher resistance level before trusting the recovery.

Trump’s Critical Minerals Push Could Strengthen Silver’s Strategic Role

International Stacker believes Trump’s expected meeting with mining CEOs could change how Washington views silver. The meeting forms part of a wider effort to rebuild the United States critical minerals supply chain and reduce dependence on China.

Silver has already been added to the United States Critical Minerals List. The administration has pursued critical mineral action plans with Mexico, Japan, and the European Union. Those discussions cover coordinated trade policies, stockpiles, and possible price support mechanisms.

Federal agencies have also received directions to accelerate domestic mining, refining, and mineral supply chains. National security investigations into imported processed minerals form another part of that effort.

Silver matters here because its industrial uses extend across defense systems, artificial intelligence infrastructure, energy technology, and advanced manufacturing. Government support for domestic production or strategic stockpiles could affect future silver demand.

The main unanswered question concerns what follows the meeting. Stronger mining incentives, faster permits, or federal stockpiling plans could give silver a larger role as a national asset. Limited policy changes would leave technical price levels as the main near term driver.

Silver Price Consolidation Must Break Before the Larger Move Begins

A look at the silver chart shows a consolidation pattern that has controlled price since the end of June. The upper boundary appears near $62, and the lower boundary remains close to $54.

Any bullish or bearish movement inside that range remains part of the same consolidation. Silver price needs a confirmed break beyond either boundary before the next direction becomes clearer.

A move above $62 could send silver price toward $71. Continued strength beyond $71 may open a route toward $78. Buyers would then face another important test because a break above $78 could place $89 within reach.

Bearish risk remains present beneath the market. A break below the $54 support zone could expose $49 during the coming weeks. That outcome would also invalidate the recent falling wedge breakout.
