Here’s Where Will Cardano (ADA) Price Could Go This Week

In our last weekly Cardano prediction, we said the ADA price needed to break above $0.168–$0.170 to keep climbing, with $0.190 as the next stop.

We also pointed out that losing $0.160 would kill that outlook and open up $0.156, then $0.150. Neither thing really happened. Cardano held the $0.160 floor but could not push through resistance, so it stayed stuck in that same old range.

This week starts better, though. The ADA price is up 2.72% in the last day to $0.166, doing much better than Bitcoin’s 0.61% gain. People are paying attention again because of Charles Hoskinson’s latest comments about Ethereum and Cardano’s new network upgrade, which has traders watching ADA more closely.

News Driving the Cardano Price This New Week

The Van Rossem hard fork is the main thing propping up Cardano right now. That upgrade pushed the network to Protocol Version 11, which made Plutus smart contracts cheaper to run with a new cost model. It also brought in native array types, better ways to handle multiple assets, and faster crypto operations.

If developers start rebuilding their apps with these tools, Cardano could get more competitive in DeFi, NFTs, and real-world asset stuff, just because it would be cheaper and faster to use.

The upgrade also marked Cardano’s first network upgrade fully approved through on-chain governance. Delegated representatives, stake pool operators, and the Constitutional Committee all voted in favour after meeting the required approval thresholds.

That milestone demonstrates Cardano governance model operating exactly as designed without relying solely on Input Output to coordinate upgrades.

Charles Hoskinson also reignited debate across the crypto industry after accusing Ethereum developers of borrowing ideas from Cardano’s Extended UTXO model following Ethereum’s native UTXO research proposal.

Also, comments from ARK Invest’s Head of Digital Asset Research questioning Cardano’s relevance weighed on sentiment. Hoskinson pushed back publicly, and ARK’s proposed crypto ETF still includes ADA, leaving institutional recognition intact despite the criticism.

Here’s What the Cardano Chart Is Saying

We pulled up the Cardano chart. ADA is still stuck in that same wide range it has been in, ever since it got turned away from $0.175–$0.178 earlier this month.

Buyers have managed to hold the line at $0.160–$0.162 a few times now, and the latest candles show the coin trying to bounce back toward $0.168.

The momentum indicators are pretty even. The Stochastic moved up to 54.93 after being oversold, and the Ultimate Oscillator is at 49.33, basically a tie between buyers and sellers.

Things have improved a little over the last few days, but the Cardano price still needs to crack $0.170 for buyers to take control of the short-term direction.

Where Will the Cardano Price Go This Week?

For Cardano to go up, buyers need to push past $0.170. If that breaks, ADA could move to $0.175, and then $0.180–$0.190 could be next, especially with all the talk around the Van Rossem upgrade and that governance milestone.

If nothing happens, the Cardano price stays stuck between $0.160 and $0.170, just like it has been for most of July. That means traders are waiting for something bigger to happen before they make a move.

The bad case starts if $0.160 gives way. Drop below that, and ADA could fall to $0.156, with $0.150 as the next line buyers have to hold.
