The Internet Computer price is down 2.40% to $2.25 over the past 24 hours, giving back part of its recent rally as the wider crypto market stays broadly flat. The move comes after ICP gained about 7% over the past week and ran into resistance around $2.35–$2.45.
That makes the latest weakness look more like profit-taking and consolidation than a fresh fundamental breakdown. Also, ICP has a major network metric working in its favor: cumulative transaction activity has surpassed Solana’s by roughly 2.5x.
With ICP processing hundreds of billions of transactions and several roadmap upgrades targeting AI, hardware and governance, the key question is whether the network’s fundamentals can help the $X price recover toward its recent highs.

ICP Transaction Volume Surpasses Solana by 2.5x
A post from BeInCrypto claims Internet Computer (ICP) has processed about 298 billion cumulative transactions since its May 2021 launch, compared with roughly 121 billion for Solana.
The latest Chainspect dashboard gives a similar picture, showing about 296 billion ICP transactions versus 118 billion for Solana, meaning ICP has roughly 2.5x Solana’s lifetime transaction count.
This is Insane! internet-computer:native has processed ~298 billion cumulative transactions since its May 2021 launch, according to Chainspect data.

The important point is that transaction totals measure network activity, not necessarily economic value. ICP’s high count comes from its architecture and low-cost computation, so the figure alone does not mean ICP is more valuable than Solana.
Still, it gives the ICP price a strong fundamental metric to work with, especially as the network expands its computing and AI capabilities.
Internet Computer Roadmap Could Support the ICP Price
ICP’s roadmap gives the network several potential catalysts. The Gyrotron milestone is designed to bring GPU-enabled nodes and AI-specialized subnets to ICP, with the goal of supporting large-model inference and training on-chain.
DFINITY has described GPU integration as the next major step beyond CPU-based AI inference.
The Knot milestone is also in progress, targeting Generation 3 node hardware and revised node-provider rewards. Nucleon focuses on more active DAO communities across the NNS and SNS governance systems.
All three areas could support network capacity, decentralization and usage, which could increase demand for ICP cycles. The official roadmap lists Knot and Nucleon as in-progress milestones.

What the Internet Computer Chart Is Saying
We had a look at the chart, and the technical picture is mixed. The ICP price climbed from roughly $2.10 to almost $2.40 before falling back to about $2.24. That makes $2.35–$2.45 the main resistance zone, with the recent high near $2.40 acting as the first major test.

The Ultimate Oscillator is at 40.46, below the 50 midpoint, showing that buying pressure has cooled. The Stochastic oscillator is also weak at 31.11, with its signal at 29.77. It is approaching the 20 oversold area but has not reached it yet.
The nearest support is around $2.20, followed by $2.15 and $2.10. Holding $2.20 could give buyers a base for another attempt at $2.35. Losing $2.10 would weaken the bullish structure and expose the $2.00 area.

Where Could the ICP Price Go Next?
The bullish ICP price path starts with a recovery above $2.30. A move through $2.35 would put $2.40 back within reach, and a clean break above $2.45 could open the way toward $2.50.
The bearish Internet Computer price path activates if $2.20 fails. That would put $2.15 and $2.10 in play, with $2.00 becoming the deeper support level.
The most likely ICP price path is consolidation between $2.20 and $2.35. The 7% weekly rise has already taken ICP into resistance, and the Stochastic at 31.11 plus Ultimate Oscillator at 40.46 leave room for further cooling before another breakout attempt. If buyers defend $2.20, the Internet Computer price could retest $2.35–$2.40.
