In a series of tweets, the crypto analyst Cyclop, with over 400,000 followers on X, shared a comprehensive guide on how to set up a private Bitcoin (BTC) node, with the aim of potentially minting the Runes token and earning massive gains of up to 100x.

Setting Up a Private Bitcoin Node
Cyclop’s guide starts by recommending that users rent a Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) from a reputable provider, such as Aeza.net, advising against the use of a personal computer for this process. The analyst advises selecting the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X server located in Helsinki and running it on Windows.
Once the server is set up, the next step involves downloading several essential components, including the Bitcoin Core Node, Ord Client 0.18.1, and Visual Studio Build tools.
Synchronizing the Bitcoin Node
After installing the Bitcoin Core Node, Cyclop instructs users to agree to all prompts without making any changes and wait for the application to fully synchronize with the blockchain. During this process, users should create a new wallet within the application’s File tab, ensuring that the synchronization is complete before proceeding.
Moreover, to optimize the node’s performance, the guide suggests creating a shortcut with a specific command that enables transaction indexing and specifies the data directory path.

Once the Bitcoin node is fully synchronized, users are advised to close the Bitcoin Core application and launch the newly created shortcut, which will initiate another round of block synchronization. After confirming the synchronization status using the “bitcoin-cli.exe getindexinfo” command, users can move the previously downloaded Ord Client into the Bitcoin Core application’s folder.
Within the Ord Client, users have the ability to create a new wallet and restore it with their seed phrase. This functionality lets them check their balance and potentially mint Runes following the token’s launch, expected shortly after the Bitcoin halving event.
