Cardano’s ADA Price Recovery Faces a Problem the Chart Cannot Hide

Cardano’s ADA price has recovered toward $0.19, but the latest bounce comes after one of the network’s most difficult periods. Technical failures, project closures, governance disputes, and weaker user activity have all tested confidence in Cardano.

The price chart presents a similar warning. ADA must reclaim several important levels before its recovery can look convincing. One barrier has already rejected Cardano price twice, and an even stronger barrier waits above it.

Cardano suffered a network split during November 2025 after an attacker exploited a known deserialization bug through an AI generated script. Older and newer nodes disagreed over the validity of certain transactions.

That disagreement temporarily created 2 separate ledger histories. Several Cardano decentralized applications faced disruptions during the incident.

Cardano faced 2 more security related problems during 2026:

  • SecondFi suffered an exploit during June 2026. Attackers targeted its wallet generation software and drained about 16 million ADA from hundreds of addresses.
  • Cardano’s main blockchain was not compromised during the SecondFi incident. However, the theft damaged confidence in a major ecosystem service.
  • EMURGO decided to close the SecondFi wallet service during August 2026.
  • A third party legacy bridge suffered another major exploit during July 2026. Stolen assets later passed through the Binance and Cardano bridge route.

The bridge incident exposed weaknesses within older infrastructure connected to Cardano. These events created another obstacle for a network already struggling to retain users and developers.

Major Cardano Project Closures Have Reduced Ecosystem Activity

Several important Cardano projects have stopped operating because of high costs and limited usage. TapTools, one of the network’s best known analytics platforms, ended its operations.

JPG Store, Cardano’s largest NFT marketplace, also closed permanently. Both closures reduced the number of major tools available across the Cardano ecosystem.

Charles Hoskinson warned that more ecosystem projects could fail. The Cardano founder described the environment as a “toxic hellscape” as funding shortages and slow community support created problems for developers.

The main ecosystem concerns now include:

  • Rising costs have made some Cardano projects difficult to maintain.
  • Limited usage has weakened revenue opportunities for developers.
  • Slow treasury decisions have delayed support for important projects.
  • Retail wallet numbers have continued to decline across the network.

Temporary ADA price recoveries led by larger holders have not reversed those problems.

Cardano Governance Disputes Have Delayed Important Funding

Cardano’s Voltaire phase transferred more control to community-based voting. However, the system has created disagreements over how treasury funds should be used.

One dispute ended with the cancellation of the 2026 Cardano Summit. The community rejected a request worth approximately $1.83 million, or about 7.8 million ADA, for the planned event in Singapore.

Input Output Global also requested around $46.8 million for its 2026 development programme. Community members opposed parts of the proposal or chose not to vote.

Hoskinson warned that continued funding problems could cost Cardano some of its leading researchers. Further resistance could eventually place its central research laboratories at risk.

Cardano’s total value locked has also fallen to approximately $118 million. That amount leaves the network behind newer layer 1 competitors such as Aptos and Mantle. Lower liquidity makes Cardano less competitive across the wider DeFi market.

Institutional interest has remained limited as well. Most major altcoin ETF activity has focused on Ethereum and Solana, which has reduced one possible source of demand for ADA.

Cardano’s ADA Price Chart Shows a Difficult Recovery Path

Cardano price has struggled since reaching its 2021 all time high near $3. ADA continued falling throughout 2026 despite several periods of consolidation.

The major bearish move developed after ADA broke below support near $0.23. That level had supported Cardano price on the weekly timeframe since January 2021. Losing such an established floor weakened the broader chart structure.

ADA later fell near $0.13 before recovering toward $0.19. However, the former $0.23 support could now become strong resistance. That barrier could suppress Cardano price for an extended period unless buyers produce enough strength to reclaim it.

A look at the daily Cardano chart reveals another immediate problem near $0.199. That level has rejected ADA price twice during the past 2 months. Another failed attempt could return the price toward lower support areas.

Even a successful breakout above $0.199 would not complete the recovery. ADA would still face the stronger weekly resistance near $0.23.

Cardano Price Indicators Still Favor a Cautious Outlook

Cardano’s technical indicators provide little evidence of a decisive bullish reversal. The 14 day RSI stands at 51.249, which gives ADA a neutral reading. The remaining indicators carry sell readings.

Cardano IndicatorValueAction
RSI 1451.249Neutral
MACD 12 and 26Negative 0.001Sell
Rate of ChangeNegative 0.418Sell
Bull Bear Power 13Negative 0.0007Sell

These readings show that ADA price has not developed enough strength to confirm a broader recovery. The neutral RSI offers some relief, but the MACD, rate of change, and Bull Bear Power remain bearish.
