Brandon Hong (@brandank_cr), a well-known crypto trader, just revealed the next coin on his radar after scoring massive profits on $ASTER. In a new video, he walked viewers through how he turned an early Aster entry around $0.30 into an eight-figure win and explained why he thinks another altcoin could deliver a similar run.

From an 8x ASTER Trade to the Next Big Bet
Hong opened by congratulating his trading community on the $ASTER play, pointing to members who turned $40k into $104k, $1.3 million in a week, and even $200k in quick profits. He called Aster an “obvious left-curve play,” the kind of asymmetric trade that reminded him of Ethereum’s big jump earlier this year.
He stressed that this success didn’t come from overtrading. Instead, he credits a disciplined approach: only taking high-conviction positions that align with market structure, relative strength, and strong narratives. Over the past few months, he says he’s limited himself to a handful of key trades in coins like AVAX, Hyperliquid, BNB, Athena, and Aster.
Why XPL Could Be the “Next Aster”
Now Hong believes Plasma’s $XPL token is setting up for a similar move. He disclosed a long position around $1 with a stop just under $0.95, pairing it with a short on Ethereum. In his view, ETH has broken below a critical four-year range and looks weak, while market attention is rotating toward niche narratives such as stablecoins.
Plasma’s fundamentals are what excite him most. It’s a Layer 1 designed for stablecoin infrastructure, a sector in heavy demand as giants like Circle prepare IPOs and projects like Athena roll out their own stable assets. Hong pointed out that XPL’s public sale raised $1 billion in minutes – double its target – and even after early investors are up 20–25x, the fully diluted valuation is still under $10 billion.
Big Targets, Strong Momentum
Hong contrasted XPL with other Layer 1s like Near and Cronos, which he says suffer from weak interest and constant selling pressure. He thinks XPL’s structure and backing give it room to outperform. His near-term target sits between $1.5 and $2, with plans to take profits gradually while holding if momentum keeps building.
For Hong, the playbook is simple: focus on tokens with strong narratives, limited supply pressure, and clear technical setups. After turning a $0.30 entry in Aster into eight figures, he believes Plasma’s XPL could be the next big crypto trade to watch.
