Jim, known by his Twitter handle @Cryptographur, outlines several factors that make him “so bullish” on the cryptocurrency KAS in a recent post. He begins by highlighting KAS’s groundbreaking proof-of-work system running at 1 block per second, explaining how this makes it a serious contender to fulfill Satoshi Nakamoto’s original vision for Bitcoin.

Achieving Digital Cash
As Jim notes, Nakamoto’s intention was for Bitcoin to function as peer-to-peer digital cash – fast, scalable, and immune to inflation. However, he argues Bitcoin has failed to achieve this, lacking the speed and scalability required for a payment system. This leaves the door open for an alternative to emerge, and Jim believes KAS fits the bill.
At 1 block per second already, KAS has sufficient scalability for a payment network. Moreover, the development team plans to increase this 10x in the future to 10 blocks per second. Such high throughput is essential for digital cash, allowing near-instant transactions critical for point-of-sale payments.
Tackling the Trilemma
Jim also touches on the blockchain trilemma – the difficulty of achieving decentralization, security, and scalability simultaneously. Most projects sacrifice one area, but he suggests KAS has managed to effectively tackle all three.

Show more +By reaching 1 block per second on proof-of-work, KAS has achieved far greater scalability than Bitcoin without compromising decentralization or security. As Jim notes, “it’s quietly becoming known that $KAS has solved [the trilemma]”.
Long-Term Potential
While speed and scalability make KAS well-positioned as digital cash presently, Jim is most excited about its future potential. Upcoming plans for smart contracts could enable stablecoins on KAS’s base layer, providing a practical cryptocurrency for spending day-to-day.
Jim closes by emphasizing that the KAS network represents over 10 years of research into scaling Bitcoin. As he puts it, “My opinion is that $KAS is a once in a decade opportunity, just like #BTC was”. For him, the opportunity is too significant to miss – “I personally don’t care about accumulating anything else”
