Quant is back among the strongest performers in crypto, with the QNT price jumping from below $180 on October 24 to above $220 during October 26 trading.
The token is up roughly 18% over the latest 24 hours, with trading activity rising alongside the move. QNT is now trading around $215-$220 after reaching an intraday high near $223.
There are two different stories behind the rally.
One is technical. QNT has bounced hard from a support area that analyst Michaël van de Poppe had been watching.
The other is narrative-driven, with viral posts connecting Quant to Japan and SWIFT attracting attention. Those claims need to be separated from Quant’s confirmed institutional progress.

QNT Bounces From the Zone Van de Poppe Wanted to Hold
Van de Poppe points out that QNT’s huge move from roughly $60 to above $300 happened in less than three days.
After that kind of impulse, a much longer correction is not unusual.
His four-hour Binance chart shows QNT falling back into the previous consolidation zone around $170-$180 before buyers returned.
That support produced a move from roughly $170 to $225.
The analyst now wants to see the $200 region hold.
$QNT is looking to break upwards. It’s seen a massive run from $60 to $300+. After such a push, it’s quite normal to be having a relatively ‘long’ correction compared to the impulse. The impulse took less than three days, so expecting to see a correction and consolidation of ~3 weeks is fairly normal. It hit the previous block of consolidation and it found support. Great bounce upwards, from $170 to $225. I’d like to see $200 hold as support, as then it’s going to be ready for a continuation move towards $285.

His chart marks a broader support area between approximately $199 and $205. Below that, $181 and $170 form the deeper support zone.
Above current price, QNT is already testing resistance around $223-$227.
If buyers get through that area and $200 continues acting as support, van de Poppe maps the next larger target near $284-$285.
That would represent roughly 30% upside from the current $217 area.
The chart also shows momentum rebuilding after the correction. MACD has turned positive again, and RSI has moved toward the upper part of its range after spending much of October at weaker levels.
For me, the cleaner setup is not chasing QNT after another double-digit day.
It is watching whether $200 survives the next pullback.
If it does, the $225 resistance becomes easier to attack again, and $285 becomes a much more realistic technical objective.
Viral Japan and SWIFT Claims Are Adding Fuel
Part of today’s excitement appears to come from social media.
Posts circulating on October 26 claimed Japan could launch a stablecoin using Quant technology and that Quant was entering SWIFT’s $150 trillion cross-border payments ecosystem.
I could not find official confirmation from Quant, Japanese authorities or SWIFT supporting those exact claims.
That distinction is important.
The posts may be helping sentiment, but they should not be treated as confirmed catalysts.
What is confirmed is that Quant already has meaningful links to institutional finance.
Earlier this year, Quant and Dentsu Soken announced a partnership aimed at helping Japanese financial institutions adopt tokenized deposits and programmable money.
Quant also has a far more concrete U.S. banking catalyst.
The Clearing House selected Quant to provide infrastructure for a tokenized-deposit network involving 25 major U.S. banks, with launch plans targeting 2027. The Clearing House operates payment systems that process more than $2 trillion per day.
That gives traders a real institutional story beneath the social-media hype.
Why QNT Price Is Exploding
The current QNT rally therefore looks like a combination of three forces.
First, price reached the $170-$180 support region and bounced.
Second, van de Poppe’s $200 hold scenario is playing out so far, putting the $223-$227 resistance directly in front of buyers.
Third, viral narratives around Japan and SWIFT have brought retail attention back to Quant, even though some of those claims remain unverified.
The confirmed institutional developments are more interesting to me than the rumors.
Quant already has exposure to tokenized deposits, interoperability infrastructure and large financial institutions. That gives the rally a stronger foundation than a move driven entirely by social media.
Still, QNT has already moved from around $178 to above $220 in roughly two days.
I would therefore watch $200 rather than assume price goes directly to $285.
If $200 holds and QNT breaks through $226, van de Poppe’s $284-$285 target becomes the next large area on the chart.
If $200 fails, the recent rally starts looking much less convincing, with $181-$170 becoming relevant again.
