URGENT: PancakeSwap Advises CAKE Holders to Bridge Tokens Before Nov. 23

PancakeSwap is urging CAKE holders on opBNB to move their tokens before November 23 as LayerZero prepares to end support for the network.

The decentralized exchange said CAKE bridging out of opBNB through LayerZero will stop on November 23 at 00:00 UTC.

Users who still hold CAKE on opBNB are being advised to bridge their tokens to BNB Chain before the deadline.

PancakeSwap Shares Bridging Instructions

PancakeSwap outlined four steps for affected users:

  1. Open PancakeSwap’s bridge page.
  2. Connect the wallet holding CAKE on opBNB.
  3. Select opBNB as the source network and BNB Chain as the destination.
  4. Choose CAKE, enter the amount and confirm the transaction.

The team also warned users to be careful with phishing attempts and to verify links before connecting a wallet.

The notice does not mean CAKE itself is being discontinued. The change specifically affects the LayerZero route used to bridge CAKE out of opBNB.

For holders who still have CAKE on opBNB, the main point is the deadline: after November 23 at 00:00 UTC, the current LayerZero-based bridging option will no longer be available.
