BlackRock ETF clients have sold $65.40 million worth of Bitcoin and $75.07 million worth of Ethereum as institutional crypto flows remain volatile.
The latest redemptions come after a difficult stretch for digital-asset ETFs, with investors repeatedly moving in and out of Bitcoin and Ethereum products as prices struggle to regain momentum.
Bitcoin is trading near the low-$80,000 area, while Ethereum remains under pressure around the mid-$2,000s.

U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs lost more than $1.22 billion combined during the October 5-9 trading week. Bitcoin products recorded their weakest week since late June, and Ethereum funds posted their largest weekly outflow since January.
Earlier in the month, Bitcoin ETFs recorded $484.9 million in net outflows on October 7 alone. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for about $207.7 million of that total, with the Bitcoin price trading near $83,000 at the time.
Ethereum products have faced even heavier pressure. On October 6, BlackRock’s ETHA recorded about $201.9 million in withdrawals during one session.

Why Are Investors Pulling Money Out?
The selling comes as crypto faces an unfriendly macro backdrop.
Treasury yields have remained elevated, the U.S. dollar has strengthened, and oil prices have increased inflation concerns. These conditions have reduced appetite for risk assets across the market.
The ETF data has also been inconsistent rather than one-directional.
BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF recorded roughly $22 million in inflows on October 9, even as several competing products posted withdrawals. That shows institutional investors have not abandoned Bitcoin, but demand is changing from session to session.
For now, the latest $65.40 million BTC and $75.07 million ETH redemptions add another sign that institutional investors remain cautious.
If Bitcoin and Ethereum continue struggling near current levels, ETF flows will be one of the clearest indicators to watch for signs that larger investors are returning.
