Hashgraph CEO Issues Big Warning on Tokenization – What It Means for Hedera (HBAR)

A new video from Crypto AiMan, who has over 88,000 subscribers, has stirred up conversation across the Hedera (HBAR) community.

In it, the CEO of Hashgraph Foundation delivers a major message about tokenization – calling it one of the biggest opportunities coming to Hedera but also a space that needs careful handling.

The CEO explained that tokenization will fundamentally change the way assets like real estate are bought, sold, and owned.

Conventionally, investing in real estate is capital-intensive and involves high transaction fees, hence making it almost impossible for small investors to enter the market.

He said that with tokenized real estate, people can invest as little as $200 into projects that once required thousands in fees just to get started. It also removes geographic limits, allowing anyone from anywhere in the world to participate, as long as regulations permit.

That means an investor in Africa could invest in a real estate project in Asia without needing middlemen.

More importantly, he emphasized that tokenization on Hedera (HBAR) happens entirely on-chain  from investment to reporting and even governance. Every step is transparent and verifiable, something traditional systems can’t easily provide.

Crypto AiMan highlighted GCoin (GC) as one of the first real estate tokens built on Hedera. The token lets investors buy and sell property fractions while earning monthly passive income from rental yields. GC currently trades around $0.01, with a market cap of about $1 million and a total supply of 100 million tokens, all already in circulation.

According to AiMan, this limited supply and growing use case could make GC one of Hedera’s most promising early projects. He believes the token could rise 10x–100x if adoption continues and more users start investing through the platform.

Why the CEO’s Message Matters For HBAR

Comments by the CEO were not just promotional; there was a warning, too. He emphasized that tokenization will open massive new markets, but it must be handled responsibly with proper regulation and transparency. Without that, the industry could repeat past mistakes seen in DeFi and speculative crypto bubbles.

For Hedera, though, this message comes at a perfect time. With projects like GC and several DeFi and CBDC initiatives already using its network, the platform is positioning itself as a serious player in the real-world asset (RWA) sector. If tokenization scales as expected, Hedera’s infrastructure will be one of the largest beneficiaries.

Put simply, this quote by the CEO shows that tokenization is not the next big crypto trend; it is a structural shift. For Hedera (HBAR), this may very well be one of the strongest growth drivers coming into 2026.
