Aster is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about names in crypto. Traders can’t ignore its strange price swings and the way most of its tokens sit in just a few wallets. On top of that, Bitcoin trading on the Aster exchange shows thin volume and sharp spikes.
Crypto trader Cyclop even called ASTER “the biggest market manipulation I’ve seen in a while,” saying the setup lets a small group decide where the price goes.
What you'll learn 👉
ASTER Price Action and Market Liquidity
On Aster’s own exchange, Bitcoin trades around $115,830, barely up 0.17% on the day. The 24-hour high is $116,171, while the low dropped to $105,005. That’s an $11,000 swing on daily volume of just 574.86K USDT, which is tiny compared to major exchanges.
$ASTER is the biggest market manipulation I’ve seen in a while:
— 𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗽 (@nobrainflip) September 20, 2025
– 96% of the supply is controlled by 6 wallets (prob 1 entity)
– No working product, with just $500k daily volume on $BTC spot pair & 50% shades
Yet it’s valued at $10B…
Everyone knows it’s complete garbage,… pic.twitter.com/8xBfYzKytK
The chart shows long quiet stretches broken by sudden big moves. That usually means only a few large orders are moving the Aster price.
For now, there’s some support near $105,000 and resistance around $116,000-$117,000, but these levels can break fast when there isn’t much depth in the order book. Technical signals like RSI aren’t very reliable when the market is this thin.

Aster Supply Control and Token Holders
Aster’s own token tells an even bigger story. Out of 8 billion tokens, about 92.63% are held by only five wallets. One wallet alone controls 3.576 billion (44.7%) and the next one holds 1.568 billion (19.6%). The project’s treasury sits on 1.306 billion (16.3%), and two others control 7% and 5%.
That kind of concentration means a few players can move the ASTER price any time they want. Cyclop pointed out that while most people would call this risky, it can also keep the price up because so much supply is effectively locked away.
ASTER Valuation and Market Talk
Cyclop also questioned how Aster price can claim a market value near $10 billion when it has no working product and such low trading activity. He argued that the inability to short the token only strengthens the group’s grip on price.
Together, the thin Bitcoin market, heavy token concentration, and multi-billion valuation make Aster a prime example of how a small number of holders and limited liquidity can shape a crypto market far more than actual product use or utility.
