Altcoin Buzz, a crypto channel with 469,000 subscribers, just dropped a video on four coins under $1 that could see big moves in the months ahead.
The team reminds viewers that a cheap price alone isn’t what makes a coin promising; market cap, supply, and real adoption are what really matter.
Still, tokens under a dollar often attract attention because they feel affordable. Here’s how these four projects are building steam under the radar heading into late 2025 and beyond.

What you'll learn 👉
Stellar (XLM)
Stellar has been around since 2014 and is all about fast, inexpensive cross-border payments. Its new upgrade, Protocol 23 (Whisk), will make it easier to build on Stellar and increase transaction speed and volume.
Stellar is also growing its real-world asset ecosystem with partnerships like Paxos and Ondo, aiming for $3 billion in tokenized assets by the end of 2025.
Big names such as IBM, MoneyGram, and Franklin Templeton are already working with Stellar. XLM price has climbed more than 300% in the past year and currently trades around $0.38 with a $12.2 billion market cap. If it breaks past its old high of $0.87, hitting $1 could mean about a 3x gain from here.
Cronos (CRO)
Cronos, the token for Crypto.com, got a major boost from a $6.4 billion treasury play by Trump Media Group. That move doubled CRO’s price from $0.16 to $0.38 almost overnight and made Trump Media the largest CRO holder with over 6 billion tokens.
The price has since cooled to about $0.23, but it’s still up 46% for the month. Analysts say if CRO can break above $0.26, it could climb toward $1.50, which would take it well past its old record of $0.96.
Sui (SUI)
Sui is growing fast and proving itself as one of 2025’s standout projects. Its total value locked (TVL) has exploded from $5 million in early 2024 to over $567 million today.
Two key upgrades are driving this: MetaMask integration, which opens the door to over 100 million users, and Giga, a system upgrade aiming for 200,000 transactions per second.
Sui also supports DeFi, NFTs, data storage, and a growing memecoin scene, with over 65 million wallets and 200 projects live. Trading around $0.32 with a $1.94 billion market cap, SUI price still has plenty of upside.
Ethena (ENA)
Ethena is making a name for itself with its synthetic dollar stablecoin USDe and the staked version sUSDe. In a short time, it’s become the third-largest stablecoin by market cap, behind USDT and USDC.
Ethena is preparing to activate an ENA fee switch that will let holders earn over 5% yields from growing stablecoin supply and DeFi integrations.
Recent moves like bringing sUSDe to Avalanche strengthen its reach. ENA price trades just under $0.70, down from a recent $0.85, but with strong fundamentals it could surpass its previous $1.52 high as the market heats up.
Stellar, Cronos, Sui, and Ethena all show why price alone doesn’t tell the whole story. They all have strong fundamentals, increasing ecosystems, and real use cases that set them apart. As we move into October and the later part of altcoin season, these sub-$1 tokens are certainly ones to keep a close eye on.
