The Shiba Inu price lost around 11% this week, which is in line with most other major meme coins. Meanwhile, ‘TheCryptoBasic’ released a viral thread via X today about SHIB’s potential price targets for the next big bull run.
At the time of writing, SHIB is trading at $0.00001256. That’s nearly 28% below its recent peak of $0.00001757 from May 12, 2025. Over the past 24 hours alone, the token dropped more than 7%, reflecting the broader crypto market downturn. Still, many long-term investors are using this dip as a buying opportunity, and new price predictions are sparking renewed interest.
According to TheCryptoBasic, if you invested $2,500 in SHIB at today’s price, you would receive about 199 million SHIB tokens. That’s significantly more than what you would’ve gotten just a couple of weeks ago when the price was higher. This means that the current dip could be a strong entry point for those betting on SHIB’s long-term success.
So what could that $2,500 investment be worth in the future? If SHIB price hits $0.00055, your tokens would be worth around $109,474. That’s more than $107,000 in profit. If the price climbs even higher to $0.0035, that same portfolio would jump to over $696,000. And if SHIB ever reaches the dream target of $0.025, the value would explode to nearly $5 million.

These numbers sound wild, but they’re simply based on math. Hitting those prices would require SHIB to rise by 4,278%, 27,766%, and 198,944%, respectively. Are those numbers crazy? Maybe. But SHIB has already pulled off massive rallies in the past.

Currently, over 85% of SHIB holders are underwater, according to data from IntoTheBlock. That’s more than 1.23 million wallets. Only about 11% of addresses are in profit right now. Still, these bearish conditions haven’t stopped speculation. Long-term holders know that SHIB has previously eliminated multiple zeroes from its price, and the hope is that history could repeat itself.
Experts are split on when, or if, these targets will be hit. Changelly predicts SHIB could reach $0.00055 by 2034, while Telegaon expects that milestone by 2029. For $0.0035, the forecast ranges from 2030 to as late as 2039. As for $0.025, Telegaon sees it happening sometime between 2036 and 2039.
Interestingly, SHIB’s marketing lead Lucie even shared ChatGPT’s take on the topic. The AI model believes SHIB price could eventually surpass $0.025 and maybe even touch $1. But for that to happen, there would need to be massive token burns, steady growth in adoption, and a booming overall crypto market.
Right now, those targets might feel far away. But for patient investors who believe in the project’s long-term potential, today’s dip could be the kind of moment that makes all the difference later on.
